Perpetual desk calendar with chromed and engine turned finish, 1950s

This is one of the most popular types of desk calendar, dating from the 1950s, and increasingly difficult to find in good condition. The casing is chromium plated brass with an engine-turned finish. The date rolls are printed in black on laminated paper. It is marked 'Made in England' to the rear.

This example has been fully disassembled, cleaned and polished and new green baize has been applied to the base. It is in very good to excellent condition with just a few marks consistent with age and careful use.
