This is the rarely found 'transitional' version of the iconic Smiths 9 inch dial clock. It features the new dagger hands but set in a traditional stepped case (the more rounded case was introduced around this time).
This example, dated December 1961, is in unusually good condition. Most were fitted with thin steel dials that were prone to rust, so few have survived in such good order.
It is powered by the well proven Smiths 8 day 2 inch movement with platform escapement and will run for over a week on a full wind.
The clock has been disassembled, cleaned, serviced and the case polished. It is supplied in excellent condition and full working order with instructions on setting up and regulating plus guidance on aftercare.
