This clock was produced by Smiths for the War department in 1965. It is stamped to the rear with the 'broad arrow' and a KA number. It is in truly outstanding original condition and appears to have had little, if any, use.
It is driven by the robust and reliable 8 day front-winding and front-regulating Smiths Astral 123 movement with large platform escapement, also dated 1965. The aluminium dial, mahogany case, glass and sight ring are near-mint. The lacquered brass bezel shows only minimal tarnishing.
The clock has been disassembled, cleaned and serviced and the case wax-polished. It is supplied in full working order with instructions on setting up and regulating plus guidance on aftercare.
