This simply styled model by Smiths from 1950 features a drumhead style oak veneered plywood case and large aluminium dial. The chromed bezel and sight ring hold a bevelled glass.

It has a rack and pinion aneroid movement, developed by Smiths in association with Shortland Bowen just after WWII.

The barometer has been fully disassembled, serviced, cleaned and polished. It is supplied in excellent vintage condition and full working order. It is currently set to read pressure at sea-level but will be supplied with instructions on how to adjust to local conditions together with guidance on reading and forecasting.
